Shouting Down Opposing Views

This is what the National Socialists of Germany would do prior to them coming to power. They would shout down opposing views, cause violence, and the like, is on display here at this gathering. I blogged on this a while ago, see my "Mussolini Defines Fascism."

We are going to see more of this -- unfortunately -- as the left feels emboldened by reports from Homeland Security saying pro-life, pro-states rights, pro-2nd amendment, and pro-law/anti-illegal immigration people are terrorists. Hot Air has some great CNN video. CNN is sending out reporters to try and find knuckleheads and paint the entire crowd as such. The question becomes this, "where was CNN when this was going on?"

I guess when the Left acts out its okay, but when the Right acts out its a horrible thing. I would have been at one of these rallies with a large sign that says "No On 1A," however, I am sealing grout. Still working away on the condo, but had to comment on the media's head up its *@$! I guess everything is alright though because I am eligible for $400 in a tax write-off, per CNN.

This is from J. Budziszewski’s book, The Revenge of Conscience: Politics and the Fall of Man: “On a dark street, a man draws a knife and demands my money for drugs.”

  1. Instead of demanding my money for drugs, he demands it for the Church.
  2. Instead of being alone, he is with a bishop of the Church who act as bagman.
  3. Instead of drawing a knife, he produces a policeman who says I must do as he says.
  4. Instead of meeting me on the street, he mails me his demand as an official agent of the government.

If the first is theft, it is difficult to see why the other four are not also theft.
