The New Sagas of Perez Hilton -- With Carrie Prejean's Grandama Calling It Like It Is

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has asked Perez Hilton to apologize for slurs he hurled at Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas.

GLAAD was responding to a video posted by the celebrity blogger, whose legal name is Mario Lavandeira, in which Hilton gave his version of events after Will.i.am posted a video describing their recent confrontations at and after the MuchMusic Video Awards. Said Hilton in his video: "I made the split-second decision -- that I was gonna say what I thought was the worst possible thing that thug [Will.i.am] would ever want to hear" -- which was a handful of assorted F-bombs.

Rashad Robinson, GLAAD's senior director of media programs, said: "These are vulgar anti-gay slurs that feed a climate of hatred and intolerance toward our community. For someone in our own community to use it to attack another person by saying that it is, quote, ‘The worst possible thing that thug would ever want to hear,’ is incredibly dangerous. It legitimizes use of a slur that is often linked to violence against our community. And it sends a message that it is OK to attempt to dehumanize people by exploiting anti-gay attitudes.”

I think after all this nothing, a quote from Carrie Prejean’s grandmother is in order:

(Source) Miss California Carrie Prejean's grandmother is madder than a wet hornet at Perez Hilton.

Prejean's grandmother, Jeanette Coppola, who lives in a mobile home near San Diego, has some choice words for the openly gay celeb blogger who called her daughter an insulting name that starts with a "b."

She told RadarOnline.com, "I don't know why that gay guy Perez was even judging a contest with a bunch of girls. That doesn't make any sense. He should be judging a Chippendale's contest."

Angry Left -- Where Is The Tolerance?? (Miss California - Carrie Prejean)

Liberal Hate Speech -- Tow the Line, Or Else!

My wife gets the Victoria's Secret catalog in the mail. Does this mean my wife and I are not Christian's? I guess Christian's need not be employed by businesses that make or display underwear, lingerie, or now apparently even get breast implants. The left and skeptics seem to build straw men arguments by saying what a Christian can-and-cannot do, wear, or augment -- and then attack these supposed stances as proof for their view. If they do do these false premises, they are not Christians. Here is a short "religious" answer to this:

NOT ALL CHRISTIANS ARE HYPOCRITES
It is wrong to condemn all Christian as hypocrites. Christians do not claim to be perfect. If Christianity claimed to be an organization for perfect people, then all Christians would be hypocrites.Though not all Christians are hypocrites, all Christians are sinners. In fact, admitting that one is a sinner is a prerequisite to belonging to the Church. Public acknowledgment of one’s sinful condition is a condition for membership. Though hypocrisy is a sin, being a sinner does not necessarily make someone guilty of hypocrisy. The terms sinner and hypocrite are not synonyms.

Many skeptics are actually guilty of imposing a double standard on Christians. They expect Christians to hold to standards they themselves could never dream of attain. Moreover, when Christians do try and live up to these standards, they are often accused of false piety and pretense.Christians are not perfect; they are forgiven. They are seeking to become more Christ-like and Godly in their conduct. The vast majority of Christians fall into this category. They are sincerely striving to live the Christian life.

CHRIST IS NOT A HYPOCRITE
When someone charges that the Church is full of hypocrites, they are really implying that because Christians fall short, Christianity also falls short. The central truth of Christianity does not rest in the performance of its followers but in the merit of its founder. Christianity stands or falls with the person of Jesus Christ. Thus, the real question is not are there hypocrites in the church, but rather, was Christ a hypocrite?

Feminists should all be out rallying around this gal for the anti-woman remarks made by her. But they are not. This fact goes a long way to show that these are not truly feminist but "feminazis." I have posted a long paper on this topic (Women & Religion) that starts out with a gnostic feminist attack on theology, and later ending with a secular critique on modern feminism. Even Bill Maher agrees that this problem (intolerance for others views) is a problem for the left.

An Example of this straw-man

One should take these arguments and apply them to her or his own arguments. This is typically what I ask others to do.

Liberal Egalitarianism

It seems we are coming to a point in our country where you must "tow-the-party-line" or you cannot find a career. From Miss America to counselors... if you do not adhere to the idea that a "family" is simply any unit of people (hetero or homo marriages/families), then you are "assed out." (Pun not intended, but it can be taken.) The only problem is... that Obama believes the same thing:

DETROIT — Attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund Center for Academic Freedom filed a lawsuit against Eastern Michigan University Thursday after school officials dismissed a student from the school’s counseling program for not affirming homosexual behavior as morally acceptable. The school dismissed Julea Ward from the program because she would not agree prior to a counseling session to affirm a client’s homosexual behavior and would not retract her stance in subsequent disciplinary proceedings.

"Christian students shouldn’t be penalized for holding to their beliefs," said ADF Senior Counsel David French. "When a public university has a prerequisite of affirming homosexual behavior as morally good in order to obtain a degree, the school is stepping over the legal line. Julea did the responsible thing and followed her supervising professor’s advice to have the client referred to a counselor who did not have a conscience issue with the very matter to be discussed in counseling. She would have gladly counseled the client if the subject had been nearly any other matter."

EMU requires students in its program to affirm or validate homosexual behavior within the context of a counseling relationship and prohibits students from advising clients that they can change their homosexual behavior. Ward has never addressed homosexual behavior in any form during counseling sessions with clients.

EMU initiated its disciplinary process against Ward and informed her that the only way she could stay in the graduate school counseling program would be if she agreed to undergo a "remediation" program. Its purpose would be to help Ward "see the error of her ways" and change her "belief system" as it relates to counseling about homosexual relationships, conforming her beliefs to be consistent with the university’s views. When Ward did not agree with the conditions, she was given the options of either voluntarily leaving the program or asking for a formal review hearing.

Ward chose the hearing, during which EMU faculty denigrated her Christian views and asked several inappropriate and intrusive questions about her religious beliefs. The hearing committee dismissed her from the counseling program on March 12. Ward appealed the decision to the dean of the College of Education, who upheld the dismissal on March 26.

"Julea has a constitutional right not to be compelled to speak a message she disagrees with. She acted as a professional counselor should--with great concern both for her beliefs and the client," ADF Legal Counsel Jeremy Tedesco explained. "The two are not incompatible, but EMU’s policies are incompatible with the Constitution."

ADF-allied attorney Steven Jentzen of Ypsilanti is serving as local counsel in the case.
  • Complaint in Ward v. Eastern Michigan University filed with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan

More Carrie Prejean -- The Left Is Getting Fascistic!

If you are a conservative Jewish woman or a Christian woman, or merely conservative, you need not apply for the Miss America contest - per the left. Even state competitions. You should be a secular leftist if thinking of joining beauty pageants.
